Post subject: P4SD-WB from HP unit |

| I purchased a used board from Geeks.(Big damn mistake!!)..I was originally looking for an ASUS P4P800 to support my Prescott 3.0/800 and 4G's of dual-channel 400mhz RAM. I am on a tight budget, but I just love ASUS boards. I am not sure what HP model this used board was pulled from, but I need to update bios back to ASUS only and eliminate any HP leftovers. ASUS does offer a utility for their stand alone boards (I also have a P4SDX unit), but if it recognizes the HP info, the utility will not perform the auto update. Any Suggestions?

I think this motherboard was pulled from a hp pavillion a250n desktop pc, I also bought this motherboard, but from what im reading it only accepts pentium 4 processors.
Im also looking for the bios firmware to upgrade intels microcode, to see if it will accept a celeron processor.

Then don't buy an HP board. The only other upgrade that might work on this board is a commercial one from esupport.com
