My system shows the error mentioned in the subject when I try to start windows XP.I have just installed XP .I thought it could be because of RAM and I changed two RAM with one 512 mb DDR.Still I get the same error. Some time if I disable the vedio cache vice versa in BIOS and restart then it works.I never face any problem if I don't get the error in the startup.
I already Installed windows XP twice and tried with single and multiple memories. But the result is same. Some times it show IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error in the startup.
My mother board is VIA chipset
BIOS Type: Phoenix-Award BIOS v6.00PG
BIOS ID: 11/22/2002-P4M266-8233-6A6LWP8HC
OEM Sign-On: P4MA-MNB.B10 FOR P4MA-MNB
Please help to solve the problem..

try another harddisk. your registry is getting corrupted, this can be caused by a bad harddisk too.

One would think working branded memory should work in other systems as well, but still there are compatibility issues I guess. Thanks for reporting back.
