i am looking to buy a mother board that has a bios that will do the following, as noted in the following artical, does any body know how i can find a mother board with a version of bios that will do it.

How to attach a drive

This document will describe how to attach an IDE or Serial ATA hard disk drive to your platform so the Repair Station can access it.
First, please make sure that you have read How to use page, specifically "Making Repair Station work on your platform" section.
Repair Station cannot access a drive through a USB or Firewire interface. Repair Station will not function on laptops and brand computers such as Compaq, HP, etc. You have to use a generic desktop PC with Windows 2000 or Windows XP (32-bit) installed.
Attaching an IDE drive
Attach the drive to the Secondary IDE port. Please keep in mind that only the following chipsets are supported: nForce, Via and Intel (except 9xx family).
If your motherboard has Serial Ata connectors, then you will have to make additional changes in BIOS Setup, please use the following instructions.
Instructions for AMI (American Megatrends) BIOS
Reboot your PC and run BIOS Setup. Go to the "IDE Configuration". If there is no "IDE Configuration" submenu, then you're done.
Change the "Onboard IDE Operate Mode" parameter to "Compatible mode"
Change the "IDE Port Settings" parameter to "P-ATA Ports Only".
You're done. Save the settings and reboot the PC. Please note that now you have to boot from an IDE drive attached to the Primary IDE port. A drive you have to diagnose or recover has to be attached to the Secondary IDE port.
Instructions for AWARD BIOS
Reboot your PC and run BIOS Setup. Go to the "Integrated Peripherals", and then to "OnChip IDE Device" submenu. If there is no "OnChip IDE Device" submenu, then you're done.
Change the "On-Chip Serial ATA" parameter to "Disabled"
You're done. Save the settings and reboot the PC. Please note that now you have to boot from an IDE drive attached to the Primary IDE port. A drive you have to diagnose or recover has to be attached to the Secondary IDE port.
Attaching a Serial ATA (SATA) hard disk drive
In order to diagnose and recover SATA hard disk drives, the motherboard you are using has to utilize an Intel 8xx/9xx chipset. No other chipsets can switch Serial ATA ports into the "Compatible" mode required by Repair Station.

Change the "Onboard IDE Operate Mode" parameter to "Compatible mode"

Change the "IDE Port Settings" parameter to "Primary P-ATA+S-ATA"

You're done. Save the settings and reboot the PC. Please note that now you have to boot from an IDE drive attached to the Primary IDE port. A drive you have to diagnose or recover has to be attached to SATA-0 port (or a port with the lowest number you can locate on your motherboard).

Change the "S-ATA Mode" parameter to "IDE"

Change the "On-Chip Serial ATA" parameter to "Combined"

Change the "Serial ATA Port0 Mode" parameter to "Secondary Master"

You're done. Save the settings and reboot the PC. Please note that now you have to boot from an IDE drive attached to the Primary IDE port. A drive you have to diagnose or recover has to be attached to SATA-0 port (or a port with the lowest number you can locate on your motherboard).
