Hi Smile

i have a problem with DAW workstation. As you can see, the onboard IEEE1394 use the same Bus than the 2 multimedia controller (it's 2 DSP card called UAD-1)

Bus_Dev_Fun__Vendor_Device_SIVD_SSID_Class_Device_Class_IRQ

-1----7-----0----110B----0004---0000--0000--0480--Multimedia Dev---10
-1----8-----0----110B----0004---0000--0000--0480--Multimedia Dev----5
-1----9-----0----1095----3114---1458--1000--0104--Raid Cntrlr----------5
-1---10-----0----104C----8025--1458--1000--0C00--IEEE 1394 ctrlr----11

the Soundcard is external, it's a Motu 828MKII Firewire.
All working fine but when you use the DSP card in audio progs, the soundcard make some garbage sound.

I solve the problem with the use of a PCIe IEEE1394 card, the pci device listing at boot show me than the PCIe card is on BUS4 :

-4----0-----0----104C----8235---5678--1234--0C00--IEEE 1394CtrLr---5

you can see there's a irq shared with one of the DSP,but all is ok now !

I can keep the PCie card,of course, but i want to know if a bios mod can permit to move the Bus number of the onboard IEEE1394 ?

Best regards,Ray
