Post subject: Recovering From A Bad Flash |
|
|
I m using MSI-K7N2GM-L Motherboard with Award Bios.
While modding the bios i happened to flash with a wrong version. Now the computer wont boot, the power gets on but no display and no sound.
I have also tried to recover from the bad flash by the bootable floppy but the computer does not boot from floppy. Now how should i make it boot from floppy so that the bios can be reflashed.

If you did not use /wb switch when you flashed your BIOS, your BootBlock is still intact and recovery via bootblock is possible.
See related posts on "My Motherboard is Dead" forum about recovering from bootblock, or forcing bootblock to activate.
But if you're not comfortable with bootblock recovery, time for you to heed the advice of Denniss.
