Seanix ASI 9000 Sis 5511 and Windows 2000

Bios String: 03/05/96-Sis-5511-5513-2A5IDSADC-00
Chipset: SiS 5511/12/13
Manufac: Seanix
Bios current version is Yukon Winbond 25

Last week I picked up one of them and installed Windows 2000 server for
testing purposes. The installation process goes ok until the installer asked
me to reboot the machine. When the machine rebooted, the w2k installer
seemed to try to detect the display adapter (ATI Mach64) but failed, then
the machine entered in an endless reboot process.

So I guess it is a bios problem that needs to be updated or at least a
hardware uncompatibilty with w2k.

So my question is, can you provide me with that bios update or tell where
can I find it or any other helpfull indication.

...I can't guarantee it'll work, but it's almost 7 months more recent than your release.

Your chipset is SiS 551x
Maybe your PLL or super I/O is Winbond...

yeah not the bios chipset, I think it is the I/O.

anyway seanix.com provided me with an upgrade that killed my pc. I realized after that it was actually a downgrade Shocked

my pc is now dead Crying or Very sad
