Hi !
I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro U300-116.
Although I have installed the latest video drivers from Intel (7.14.10.1437) and the latest bios from Toshiba’s site (V3.9) I cannot obtain 1280x720 resolution in my external monitor (I connect it through VGA-out).
Both the monitor and the graphic adaptor (GM965/X3100) support this resolution.
I have also used “powerstrip” to add the specific resolution in the registry. I verified it with regedit. However still I cannot obtain 1280x720 resolution.
I have to note that with “powerstrip” I have successfully obtained similar resolutions like 1280x718.
Therefore I believe that the 720p resolution is forbidden by video BIOS.

Can you please tell me how can I overcome this problem Question Question Question
